Roof Pitch is a term that describes the slope of a roof:  rise / run

6/12 Roof Pitch with 8" Roof Overhangs is standard for our gable roof Ramadas and Pavilions. The roof rises 6" for every 12" of horizontal span, forming a 26.57° slope. This pitch will keep the roof clear of common debris, although some buildup may still occur. In areas that receive moderate or excessive snowfall (or leaf-fall) it is recommended and possibly required by local codes to select a steeper roof pitch such as 9/12 or 12/12.
