Shed Materials
We only use the finest modern materials in the construction of our sheds because we want them to last for decades and want their features to be highly customizable. One of the most important materials is the siding that lines the exterior walls. We divide our sheds into two main categories based on the siding material: SmartSide and Vinyl.
 
Red Cedar Siding

Superior Quality

The Western Red Cedar siding contains natural oils that act as preservatives against wood decay and insect damage. Western Red Cedar is a material of exceptional quality, durability, and beauty. In addition to its aesthetic benefits, it is a dimensionally stable wood that lays flat, stays straight, ages gracefully, and checks less than other woods. The tongue-and-groove construction ensures utmost durability and can be installed either horizontally or vertically. Installed on 2x4 Pine studs, the Cedar siding can be left to weather naturally or stained to maintain its reddish hue.
 
Pine Siding


Long Lasting

Real Pine siding is a classic choice for both homes and structures. Many “man-made” siding materials are crafted to look and feel like true Pine siding because its durability and beauty is highly sought after. The lap siding uses 1x6 Southern Yellow Pine planks that measure ¾” thick by 5 1/2” high. The wood is not pressure treated and will last decades with minimal maintenance. Pine siding can be painted or stained, and offers a better insulation value than Dura-Temp or Vinyl.
 
Vinyl Siding

Vinyl is an exceptionally resilient material used on residential and commercial buildings worldwide. It is extremely low-maintenance, and never needs to be repainted. Vinyl is also remarkably durable, versatile, scratch resistant, and prevents damage from moisture and insects, which makes it one of the best siding materials in existence.

SmartSide Siding

10' x 12' Deluxe Estate
SmartSide Shed
SmartSide is a layered, engineered wood siding that binds natural wood with manufactured materials to create a material that offers superior strength and lasting protection. The outer hardboard is water resistant and does not split, crack, or check, even with rough treatment. It is inherently lighter than other engineered wood, and is one of the strongest siding materials available today.

Roof Materials

Tied for "most important material" on a shed is what kind of roof material is used. We provide several great roofing solutions including 50-Year GAF Asphalt shingles with Aluminum Drip Edging, ABM Metal Panels (Exposed Fastening Hardware), and the elite Standing Seam Metal Panels (Protected Fastening Hardware). These roofing types can be applied to both SmartSide and Vinyl sheds for personalized, lasting protection from the elements.
