Easy peasy

This was a really easy kit to put together & looks great. Maybe took 2 hours to fully assemble. I opted for the stainless steel hardware for extra durability -- the Robertson head 3 inch screws stripped very easily, but only happened to a couple of them (once partially in, the only option is the hacksaw them flush). The only other thing that might have been helpful is a clear diagram with dimensions (i.e. distance between posts for setting the foundation). If this was available, using deck blocks as the foundation would be really easy so that it isn't sitting directly on soil.

3x10 pergola

All parts were contained in the kit (wooden plus hardware). The kit comes in one box and it is heavy. The freight delivery helped me break it down and move parts to the backyard. Assembly instructions OK but it would have been nice to have a foot-print diagram for the legs. Assembly of the upper frame is easy; however, elevating the upper frame on the 4 legs is difficult and requires 3-4 people for stability and strength.

All assembly holes lined-up and SS hardware was high quality. Cedar splits easy so be careful in stressing joints.

Purchased Beautiful 12x16 Pergola from FifthRoom.com

We live on a Great golf coarse in South Carolina and needed a Pergola that would hold up to high winds with the occasional storms we get down here.We also ordered the sun shade that slides out for added shade on hot days. It also works well with light rain giving you use on drizzley days.Needless to say we get a LOT of Compliments on our Beautiful Pergola!

This comes with a lifetime warranty and you never know how good a warranty is or company giving it until you need a repair. After about 2 years we had to have a repair done. FifthRoom did the repairs promptly and properly and when your 70 that’s good to know, there’s still companies that keep their words and honor their warranties.

Lots of Compliments

I assembled the Pergola on an existing deck that our home builder put on our new home. I also added lighting that I wired using Echo plug device so I step on the deck say, "Echo-Deck lights on" and we are ready to party. The neighbors are envious and have all complimented on how perfectly it fits in. Thanks Fithroom.com, you make me look good!! PS-I have told them where they could order their Pergola and indicated how simple it was to "build".

Ran out of 2.5" and 3.5" screws, had to supplement with some of my own. A pair of the columns were cut "deeper" on one side, luckily I noticed and matched the deeper cut sides so that it did not cause the top out of level.

Great product!

It's a high quality product but there were some split boards and imprecise cuts. Definitely a 3 person job. Would recommend it and would buy it again. We've had it up a month and are very pleased with the quality and appearance.
